Sketchbook: Is It Soup Yet?

This is just a quick scribble from my sketchbook, something I started months ago, forgot about, and then got back to the other day. Besides being a hermaphrodite werewolf, the Undertaker's adopted child, and the de facto leader of Castle Whatsitsname, Cheshire is also the only one who knows how to cook. I'm planning a storyline where something happens to Cheshire and the rest of the castle's inhabitants have to fend for themselves. This sketch should give you an idea of how that will turn out.

I never really enjoyed cooking, so creating a character who loves it was a bit challenging. Luckily, my friend Noah's passion for all things culinary and his skill in the kitchen have helped me tap into that part of Cheshire. I've come to appreciate cooking a bit more as a result, but I'm still more likely to be the one staring hungrily at the chef - like Ferkus, Dzeriel, and Alyssa here.

I'm always happy when a little sketch turns out like this. It's nothing smashing artistically, but it shows off my characters' personalities and helps me get a bead on their relationship to one another.
