Rates

Web Design & Redesign - $500 and up

Every website is different, so the prices below are ballpark figures. After our initial consultation, I will contact you with an estimate. For designs from scratch, once I give you the estimate, it will not change unless you decide you'd like to alter the agreed-upon design (and that's fine - I'll just calculate a new estimate).

Redesigns are often trickier because an existing site confers more limitations on the designer - bad code, confusing organization, incomplete documentation, etc. With redesigns, I may adjust the estimate if I uncover something that requires more time to work on, but I will always get your approval before proceeding.

All rates include putting your site online and providing you with all the information you need to manage it.

Basic ~ $500
A basic website, with the client providing all graphics and copy, and no extras like streaming media, e-commerce, forms, or dynamic content.
Standard ~ $500 - $1000
Same as the Basic, except I design the graphics and write some or all of the copy.
Advanced ~ $1500 and up
I create the graphics and write the copy, and put together extra features such as e-commerce, streaming media, or other dynamic content as needed.

Web Maintenance & Updates - $20/hour

The web is always changing, and good websites change with it. Unfortunately, keeping a site fresh and updated can be time-consuming. I can take care of it for you for $20 per hour (1/4 hour minimum). This includes but is not limited to:

  • e-commerce database management
  • scanning & photographing art
  • archiving old web content
  • technical support


Graphic Design - $50 and up

Graphic design projects vary immensely in complexity and scope, so these figures are estimates for a few of the more common jobs. At the initial consultation, I will evaluate the project and give you a more accurate estimate, which will not change unless you alter the agreed-upon design. These rates do not include the cost of printing.

Logo Designs ~ $100 - $200
Once I do the logo, I can create stationary, business cards, envelopes, etc. for an additional $25 each. So if I do a logo design at $200 and you'd like business cards and stationary, the total cost would be $250.
Postcards, Flyers, Coupons, & Gift Certificates ~ $100 - $250
Expect an estimate in the lower end of this range if you supply the graphics (logos, artwork, photos, etc.), and at the higher end if I create them. Images used in print graphics must have a resolution of 300 ppi or higher.
Blast E-Mails ~ $150 - $250
Expect an estimate in the lower end of this range if you supply the graphics, and at the higher end if I create them.

 

Art Services - $15/hour

My sense of design evolved over years of working in exhibits and custom framing. If you need an extra hand installing an exhibit, making labels, or framing art, I have the experience if you have the tools! 1-hour minimum.
