Most gargoyles in Dungeons & Dragons don't look like this. Most of them weren't captured by wizards and magically altered time and time again until they resembled 3-foot tall flying mice. But Shadowpad's master needed a skilled thief, and I needed an epic level rogue for a Forgotten Realms game.
The mark on her leg is her wizard master's magical brand.
